Fighting Spirit and MasterChef Junior: 敢闘/闘魂

November 7, 2015November 7, 2015 Andy Japanese Language MasterChef Junior

Today was the premier of MasterChef Junior in the US. One boy wore a hachimaki with the kanji 闘魂. You’ll recognize the first character, tou, from the Fighting Spirit prize 敢闘賞 (Kantosho). Tou means compete or fight. The funny bit is that on the official website, he’s wearing it upside-down.
