2018 Kyushu Basho Scorecards

2018 Kyushu Scorecard PicSumo fans rejoice, the sport of giants is just a few days away!! Not only am I stoked for the return of sumo, but I’m also excited to celebrate a little anniversary this November. It’s hard for me to believe it, but it’s been one year since I started making scorecards for this wonderful site. As always, here are the full banzuke scorecards for those of you who enjoy keeping track of every win and loss in the top division, along with the smaller stable card version.

  1. a scorecard w/ all rikishi names listed both top to down and left to right allows one to not only track the number of wins/losses, but also to look back and know on any day who fought who

    • Do you mean something like this?

While a table like that would be great for tracking who fought and beat who, I’m having a hard time visualizing how you could track what day that happened as each rikishi has such a unique schedule. Unless of course, you leave space to note what day each bout took place on.

      • bingo!
        yep, that’s it

i normally write it up like this by hand (no printer), except i include the whole division on one page
since each bout offers two squares, one can use one of the two triangles to record the winners, and the other triangle spaces can be used for which day
