Okinoumi was fated to get that fusen win today. Originally, he was to face Kakuryu. With Kakuryu’s kyujo, the matchups were changed and he was paired with Goeido. Sadly, Goeido is now kyujo. This is not a surprise as he crumpled there at the end of his match with Endo. Bruce had speculated about such an event in his summary and the preview but it’s official.
Mitakeumi may never have a better chance than this to seal the deal
Probably only one bout in which he won’t be at least even odds to win.
