I cringe for Kisenosato…
The fact that he is on the banzuke doesn’t imply he will actually participate. In fact, it’s doubtful that any of the Yokozuna will participate.
I was a bit worried Yoshikaze would drop out Makuuchi but he is snug as a bug at Maegashira #7.
There was never a real risk that the mighty Yoshikaze would fall out for this tournament. I hope whatever plagued him in January is past. He can create a lot of havoc this far down the banzuke, so we may see him having a bit of fun here with all of the mid-level guys. At this rank he may fight any participating Yokozuna, so there is a chance of yet another kinboshi for this maniac.
