As we anticipated, Wakaichiro’s rematch with Tokkoriki was fierce. Where Wakaichiro immediately went to high power tsuppari, Tokkoriki seemed to be trying everything to get to a slap down / pulling throw. As is frequently the case, pulling puts a rikishi’s balance far forward, and it seems Tokkoriki lost his footing.
With this win, Wakaichiro improves to 2-0, a fantastic start for the man from Texas!
