Defeats Kaisei For 1000th Victory

Early today in Kyushu, Yokozuna Hakuho Sho (白鵬 翔) claimed his 1000th win.  In all fairness, Kaisei put up a strong fight (better than the previous two days), but the Michael Jordan of sumo would not be stopped.

Tachiai congratulates a great competitor for achieving a significant milestone.  Next stop, 1,045 wins, when he will reach the mark set by the late, great Chiyonofuji.
