a. 12-3 record. The then sekiwake came close to winning it in Osaka 2015 with a great 13-2 record, beating Hakuho in the process, but the yokozuna hung on to win his 34th yusho (14-1). Curiously enough, Hakuho defeated Terunofuji in May, but lost three of the four last matches (11-4). As a result, Terunofuji’s 12-3 record was enough to lift the Cup.

b. False. I twas Enho’s fourth make koshi, following a 6-9 record back in March, a 7-8 for his makuuchi debut in May 2019, and a 4-11 record in juryo, in March 2018.

Ah, I misread the first one. I thought it was B because I thought you were asking about THIS tournament. “Read the questions, Andy.”
I also misread the first one, in exactly that same way, Andy. After that I was 12-2.
For the several questions that had: “how many were competing for the yusho or how many yusho winners were competing?”, my mind immediately discounted Kakuryu as he disappeared after a couple of days. But, good fun over all.

Overall nice quiz, but some of the questions … you have been trying a little bit too hard. What was Kotoyukis longest win streak in this tournament? I mean seriously, unless (and even then) you are a die hard Kotoyuki fan. Thats like asking if your soccer team made more goals from minute 50-55, 55-60 or 60-65 in a season;-)
