On the torikumi for Thursday is a match between our favorite Jonidan, Wakaichiro, and Jonidan 2w Omote. This will be the 3rd match for both rikishi this basho, and a chance for Wakaichiro to move to a winning record. His opponent, Omote, is from the Shikihide heya, and is a relative new-comer to sumo. His first match was in March of last year, and he has just returned to Jonidan after being ranked Sandanme 71w in Nagoya. While Omote has a bit more experience, Wakaichiro has a significant size advantage, with Omote weighing in at only 150 pounds.
