Tomorrow’s match to watch is Ichinojo vs. Gagamaru. Ichinojo has been on a slide, obviously, while Gagamaru’s been grappling pretty well – if he can keep his balance. I’m eager to watch these two climb onto the dohyo together. They’ve not met yet since Gagamaru had his little stint in Juryo while Ichinojo was flying high into the upper reaches of the makuuchi. I’ll be interested to see whether it’s a 1-dimensional lean-fest or if someone uses some technique or guile.

I’m also looking forward to Kotoshogiku vs. Yoshikaze. After being completely overpowered and outclassed by Aoiyama, I think Yoshikaze will come out strongly against Kotoshogiku. Meanwhile, the yusho-holder was shot out of a cannon today straight at poor Takayasu. I’m hopeful for an entertaining bout with yusho implications down the road.

Lastly, Sokokurai and Aminishiki promises to be an amusing one. Both can be quite crafty and I think everyone has been expecting henka so Aminishiki took Ikioi head on today…but had nothing to follow.
